☘️ Feeling lucky this St. Patrick’s Day for all the work the Burrows do to support our communities in Cincy, Southeast Ohio, and Baton Rouge!
Last Friday we spent the day with students at Dixie Heights High School and @riverview.east.academy.

Both were part of 53 schools across the Greater Cincinnati region who received $500 from bi3, Interact for Health, and the Joe Burrow Foundation to participate in activities promoting Teen Mental Wellness.

Riverview held its first mental wellness fair with an incredible student turnout. The Dixie Heights Hope Squad assembled 1,170 mental health kits, full of fidgets, affirmation stickers and other items aimed at helping students cope with stress and anxiety. Classes each chose from a menu of self-care activities to do during one of their morning class periods, such as journaling, disconnecting from technology, coloring, or listening to calming music.

No students should suffer in silence. It’s so important for young people to create supportive and empathetic communities. Keep up the great work! 👏

Special thanks to @raisingcanes for providing food to students during their Teen Mental Wellness Day activities
Today is the day! Thanks to bi3 and Interact for Health, 53 area high schools applied and received $500 to conduct activities such as planning wellness fairs, hosting speakers and promoting awareness of resources like the National 988 Suicide and Crisis Hotline.

#WorldTeenMentalWellnessDay is observed annually to raise awareness for the mental health issues teenagers face daily, promote mental wellness and determine solutions.
Mental Health discussions can be difficult. But it’s so important to us to keep the conversation moving forward.

Last week, Jimmy and Robin Burrow joined LSU alums as they discussed the impact that being an athlete had on their own mental health and strategies to cope with those challenges. More than a 1000 people were there to talk about mental health. This is a huge step for the conversation.

Back in Greater Cincinnati, 54 schools applied to earn a $500 scholarship to promote mental wellness among their student bodies. That’s $27,000 to catalyze mental health conversations and awareness in our local high schools!
